Niall Quinn & his family in mourning after death of Ireland icon’s mother in law

NIALL Quinn and his wife are in mourning after the death of his mother in law.

Margaret, who is the mother of the Ireland legend’s wife Gillian, passed away unexpectedly on February 22.

Ex-Arsenal and Man City star Quinn married Gillian 32 years ago, and the heartbreaking news will come as a huge shock to the family.

Niall was just 23-years-old, while Gill was just 20 when they got married over three decades ago.

The funeral will repose at George Mullins Funeral Home, Naas on Monday (26th Feb) from 6pm to 8pm with a gathering of family and friends for 6.30pm.

It will be followed by the Removal on Tuesday (27th Feb) to the Church of Our Lady and St. David, Naas which will arrive at 10am Requiem Mass.

Margaret’s funeral will commence immediately afterwards at Newlands Cross Crematorium, Ballymount.

Just last year, in an interview with EVOKE, Gillian spoke of how her mum and sister did most of the arrangements prior to her wedding to Ireland icon.
