Ireland vs Belgium predictions

Ireland and Belgium last faced each other in an international friendly in March 2022, where they drew 2-2.

The match before saw Belgium ease to victory 3-0 in the Euro Championship of 2016.

And that’s been the only two matches between these two international sides this millennium.

Belgium are on a good run of form winning each of their last six games, including a 1-0 win over Serbia in their last friendly.

Belgium haven’t been seen since the November international break where they beat Azerbaijan 5-0 in a convincing display.

That put them top of Group F going on a great unbeaten run with just one draw.

📝 Ireland vs Belgium betting tips

Belgium are a great price to win against Ireland, though the two teams can be difficult to predict in the international sphere, Belgium have been in great form. There’s often goals from both of these sides which should also be the focus.

Belgium to win21/20

Belgium have finally been going on a great run of form and don’t look like the inconsistent side of previous managers as, based on their squad, have always seemingly underperformed.

But under new manager Domenico Tedesco they’ve been a force to be reckoned with and look capable of winning well at quite a big price.

He’s been in charge for ten games in total and so far they’ve won eight and only drawn two.

Belgium to win and over 2 goals – 12/5

Belgium are tough not to back to win this clash despite friendlies being notoriously different to competitive games.

But Ireland haven’t been convincing of late to get something from this.

Though it will probably be closer than many people think, especially if you look at their form against the Netherlands.

They’ve only lost on both occasions by a single goal, with their September fixture at home, losing just 2-1.

The same score they lose to Greece in June while they also suffered a 2-0 loss to them in October and a 1-0 loss away to Netherlands.

There’s likely to be more goals in a friendly, of which their last clash was a friendly against New Zealand where they could only grab a draw despite their strong favouritism in the odds.
