Holland & Barrett Continues €7m Investment In Ireland With New Store | Checkout

Holland & Barrett has continued its €7 million investment in Ireland with a new kiosk store at the Jervis Shopping Centre.

In addition to a dedicated Irish website (www.hollandandbarrett.ie), the retailer now operates 66 stores across the Republic of Ireland.

The health and wellness retailer has invested €7 million into the Irish market over the past two years.

As well as refitting all its Irish stores, it opened new stores in Cork, Tullamore, and Dublin Jervis Street following an increase in customer volumes year on year for the past four years.

Jervis Street Kiosk

The latest opening in Dublin is the retailer’s first kiosk store for customers on the go, conveniently located in Jervis Street Shopping Centre.

The kiosk will offer cashless purchases, with a new formatted showcasing the top 1000 products.

It will also be the first of the retailers’ Irish stores to trial digital shelf-edge labelling.

New delivery and stock maximisation solutions supported by a new remote storage solution will also be trialled at the new premises.

As part of its continued investment, Holland & Barrett have launched a new food range of over 500 products into its Irish stores.

It has become the first major retailer to introduce ‘Plant Points’ on food labelling, encouraging customers to incorporate a diverse range of plants into their diets.

The company designed ‘Plant Points’ to complement customers’ weekly shop with simple swaps.

Crafted by Holland & Barrett’s nutritionists, chefs, and in-house specialists the range aims to encourage gut health, women’s health, immunity, energy and more.

Working with artisan food producers, Irish products now make up 5% of total food sales for the retailer in the Republic of Ireland.

“Our primary goal has been to create delicious food options that also offer significant health benefits.

Moor concluded, “Additionally, with our substantial investment of over €7 million in the Republic of Ireland, we’re reaffirming our commitment to serving Irish customers.”
