IT’S BEEN something of a winning streak for popular local business Tile N Style, who swept the boards at the recent National Tiling Association of Ireland 2023 Awards.
The business, which is based at Shamrock Business Park, Carlow, was awarded best showroom under 10,000sq ft in Ireland and also picked up the gong for best outdoor tile display at the glittering event held in the Clanard Court Hotel, Athy.
“It’s all down to the staff. We are very, very lucky to have the people we have … they’re more like a family than a staff,” said Bernard Horahan, owner of Tile N’ Style.
“Everything they do is reflected in this win for Tile N Style, we’re absolutely blessed to have them,” he added.
Tile N Style was shortlisted for both categories from the over 250 tiling stores nationwide and were thrilled to be announced as overall winners in both categories.
“From our point of view, we see it as more than a shop, but an experience for our customers, so we’ll have the cup of tea or coffee for people, the TV for people who want to watch the sport, the games section for the kids … we also make a big effort on our displays,” explains Bernard.
Tile N Style is also known for their wonderful outdoor displays, with graphic art, floral displays and even eye-catching vehicles adding to the overall look.
This win comes just weeks after Tile N Style won the retailer of the year accolade at the Carlow Business Awards for 2023.
“This is our third business award in four years and we are very privileged and blessed to win them … it’s all down to our staff,” said Bernard.
