Star Of The Toy Show Wows Fans As Ireland Take On Italy

Must read

Stevie Mulrooney got all of our attention at Christmas when he performed Ireland’s Call on the Late Late Toy Show, and it looks like he has wowed another crowd this week.

Meeting Irish rugby stars Peter O’Mahony and Bundee Akii made the little eight-year-olds dreams come true.

But there was another task set for this young boy as he was asked to perform the song once more in front of thousands at the Aviva Stadium as Ireland took on Italy.

Standing in front of a sold-out crowd, with his hand on his heart he belted out the song as Army Band played behind him.

According to RTÉ Stevie spoke about being chosen stating ‘I feel good. It’s really exciting but I am nervous too. But my Dad says nerves can be a good thing. There’s going to be so many people there and I just want them all to sing with me. I will have the microphone and I have done all the work to get ready.

It certainly has been a busy week for Stevie as he performed the song last week at the Kilkenny Rugby Club and went on to be interviewed by Ray Darcy.

While Stevie said meeting the boys on the Late Late Show was ‘The best day of his life,’ we have a feeling that performing at the Ireland and Italian match has just topped that.
