On3’s national basketball reporter Jamie Shaw wrote an article on Monday breaking down the ACC’s Top Five NBA Draft prospects. In the article, he named Pitt freshman guard Bub Carrington as the No. 5 NBA Draft prospect in the league.
In addition, he had Pitt forwards Blake Hinson and Guillermo Diaz-Graham among his “Other Players to Watch” category in the article.
So far through four games, Carrington is averaging 18 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game at the point guard spot for the Panthers. Hinson is once again leading the team in scoring, averaging 20.5 points per game on 46% from the field and 39% from three-point range. Diaz-Graham is currently Pitt’s backup five man behind Federiko Federiko, and is averaging 10.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Diaz-Graham set career-highs in both points and rebounds in Pitt’s win over Jacksonville, logging his first career double-double with 23 points and ten rebounds.
