NBA Twitter reacts to Patrick Beverly, Sixers fighting Celtics to the end

Must read

The Philadelphia 76ers were put in a tough position on Friday when they paid a visit to the Boston Celtics. Not only are the Cs an extremely tough opponent and a challenge no matter what, but things were made even tougher for Philadelphia when Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and Nic Batum were all ruled out.

However, instead of lying down and accepting a loss, the Sixers battled their behinds off. They played with heart and intensity on both ends of the floor and even held a lead, but ultimately, they fell short to the Celtics 125-119.

Patick Beverley led the charge. Getting the start in place of the injured Maxey, the veteran poured in 26 points on 10-for-15 shooting with eight rebounds and seven assists. His play kept Philadelphia in the game and he was terrific.

De’Anthony Melton added 21 points, Robert Covington had 18 points, five rebounds, and five steals, Paul Reed added 14, Mo Bamba had 11 and six rebounds, Marcus Morris Sr. had 13 and seven boards, and Tobias Harris had 14.
