County Derry business backs Digg Deep For Kids’ campaign

Must read

An online competitions company based in County Derry has generously donated a car to help raise funds for families and children across the North facing poverty and hardship this Christmas.

Pristine Competitions will raffle the 2021 Volkswagen Golf 8 for just 99p per ticket to raise money for Digg Deep For Kids’ annual campaign.

The Digg Deep For Kids charity was started as a fundraising initiative organised by Co Tyrone businesswoman and mum-of-three, Caroline O’Neill in 2019 and has since raised over £460,000.

Due to the impact the campaign has made over the last four years, organisers applied for charitable status with the aim of being able to help even more people.

This year, all funds raised by the charity will be donated to Cash For Kids, St Vincent de Paul and the Simon Community.

Claudy headquartered Pristine Competitions have decided to back the campaign and are hoping locals will support the fundraising drive.

The Volkswagen Golf is finished in stunning pure grey, has upgraded 18” alloy wheels and a full gloss black aero kit.

The vehicle also has lots of extras including privacy glass, adaptive cruise control, lane assist and a digital cockpit.

A spokesperson for Team Pristine said: “We have decided to give people the chance to win this amazing 2021 Golf 8 for only 99p. All proceeds will be going to Digg Deep For Kids. Here at Pristine Competitions, we are proud to help raise money for children and families in need. Let’s make this the best Christmas yet.”

Caroline O’Neill, co-founder of Digg Deep For Kids, added: “Digg Deep For Kids is a registered charity here in Northern Ireland. This year we are supporting Cash For Kids, St Vincent de Paul and the Simon Community.

“This is a very unique charity, as in we just work for four or five weeks running up to Christmas, raise as much money as we can. There are no salaries in Digg Deep For Kids, we all work voluntary to raise as much money as possible for those who need it.”

The draw will take place on Wednesday, December 13 and tickets are now available to purchase via pristinecompetitions.co.uk
